The Usual Dream (not really a emo poem sorry)
by Cheyenne Borges

Darkness covers my eyes
My heart begins to relax
My breath begins to shorten
and my mind begins to wonder
The days go by while my fantasy runs free
this is my worst nightmare but yet i love it dearly
It feels likes a couple of months have gone by
But I'm still floating like a piece of bread in a pond
Slowly beginning to deteriorate
I'm looking for something I've lost but I don't know what it is
My heart races as I hear my name being called
My mind paces as I think of a way to save my life
Oh, but then I see him
Gun pointed straight to my face
He smiles but with an evil embrace
He pulls the trigger
The gun is shot
I close my eyes and breathe my last breath
Then I awake in a frantic manner
Holding my heart in my hands
I see the blood dripping down on my lap
I drop my heart and fall back on my bed
I slowly lose energy and strength
I begin to shake
I begin to come cold
Then I see him
I see the madness and insanity in his eyes
I see the evil coming from his body
Then...
The darkness covers my eyes
My breath begins to shorten
And my mind begins to wonder
The days go by and finally I realize...
This Isn't a dream this is my life
