I has recently grown a strong obsetion with the scene culture. I have studied it for about 3 months now and it was really hard to find tons of information about the scene culture, then I found this page just now and got very intersted.
Thank you, Who ever made this website.
Now heres my story; I am young and I wanted to explore my choices like my other friends so I looked up some websites and pictures on Google.com and I found lots of different interests like Hipi, Emo, normal, Gothic, Freak, Random person, annoying and then I saw a Picture at the bottom of the page;
a girl.. a beautiful blond girl with crazy colourful highlights and lots of neon and black makeup. i was fastly interested so i clicked it and found the culture. SCENE...
so now I am trying to find as much information as I can.. :D
Is it true that when scenes are deeply depressed they starve them-selves? I do not think so, but I do..
Hi Tay, you didnt leave an email so i'll answer your question here. I personally think this is just a false stereotype, how ever alot of scene girls are incredibly thin and it is a general understanding that if you want to be a scene girl then thin is best. Of course this can be applied to any kind of fashion or just the idea that being thin is more attractive.
I dont think that people would starve themselves just because there depressed and also scene, but more likely because they have an eating problem or just generally want to be thin and think starving themselves can achieve that.
If your really interested in scene then i give you this warning. As with all cultures there are things which are very attractive and can easily suck people into them. They give certain characteristics that seems like you must fall into in order to be a part of that culture, such as being thin or depressed. THIS IS NOT TRUE.
Be yourself and become who you want to be naturally, dont change yourself or do anything negative like starve yourself or act depressed just because you want to be classed as something.
I promise you that if you do such negative things, then you will be causing more harm to yourself and go in the opposite direction of what you want to become.
All the best, Trickwood.
