Emo Hair styles![]() ![]() Emo hair styles are every changing with new creative ideas popping up all over the place as the Emo culture booms. The aim of the game here is to be as unique and creative as possible while staying within what's classed an Emo. But the most important thing here when trying to come up with new Emo hair styles is to pick something that your comfortable with, something that's creative and most importantly, something that's "you". I've met so many people who have gotten to the point were their only dressing a certain way or having a certain hair style because its what someone else has told them they should have, or their just doing it to "fit in" or because they feel pressured to look that way. People who take up these new trends in fashion or hair do so for the wrong reasons and let me just say one thing "ITS SO OBVIOUS". If you really want your Emo hair style to stand out from the crowd then being the same as someone else or being a "fake" wont get the job done, you will more than likely be discovered for what your doing and then you would have achieved the opposite to what you wanted to achieve in the first place. Need some ideas? Then check out these Emo hairstyle pictures Or try the links below. So, the whole point of this page is to give you some ideas and inspiration to come up with your own style. If you see a style on here that you want to directly copy then that's fine, as long as your doing it for the right reasons, as in you like it.If you just have fun, play around and get creative with your hair, then people will admire you for it and you WILL stand out. By the way, if you want to appear on the site then submit your Emo hair pictures by using the form you can find HERE! For the Guys the most common style by far is short and spiky around the back and includes a long fringe which is often swept across the forehead. However, this style is also popular amongst females who also wear this shorter version of Emo hair. The long Emo hair styles often appears in all kinds of crazy colors and it often frames the face while sweeping to one side. Females tend to prefer the longer hair styles with a long fringe in the front and the hair is usually layered. For straight hair, getting a fringe of bangs is easy. However, this isn't normally the case with individuals who have curly, wavy, or frizzy hair. If your one of these people you would know that you sometimes need to go to great lengths to keep up the look of the bangs that are attached to an Emo haircut. The best piece of advice for achieving straight bangs is simple, just use a decent straightener and a good spray, if you know how to use a straightener then you can get straight bangs no problem, just remember to get a good hair protection spray before you start straightening the crap out your hair as to avoid damage. There is a huge selection of hair styling products that you can use to get straight bangs no matter what your hair type. Try looking for a product that's specifically designed for your hair type, e.g. wavy, curly etc.... and remember that different products work better for different people so just stick at it until you find the right one for you. Additionally, hair irons and blow dryers can be used to help create the wall of long bangs that just has to lie correctly in order to achieve the true Emo look. Depending upon the type of hair that you have and the reaction that it presents with the various methods for straightening it, you might need to go through a trial and error process to discover the hair product that works best for you. The bangs are an essential aspect of the Emo haircut, so they must be perfected. If your looking for a new haircut, why not try getting creative with highlights, streaks, or colouring the bangs. In fact, coloring the bangs in a spectrum of shades that range from light to dark or vice versa is a real eye catcher. Remember that colouring your hair can turn the style your bored with into a brand new, eye catching look. Popular colors for highlights are currently red or purple. Also with highlights, why not try colouring the layers on longer hair as this is also another popular styling method. Because of the shaggy and uneven nature of some Emo haircuts, it is often necessary that you use a color that will show through your base coat, if you decide to highlight your hair. Usually, a brighter color than the base coat is all that you need to show off your style. Quick tip - Dont wanna use dye A good method is to use spray dye instead, but don't just spray it on, the trick is not to spray it on when your hair is dry, but rather when its towel dried, spray it on and then comb it through, then let it dry naturally or with a hair dryer. The result looks pretty great, almost like you dyed it but without the damage it may do to your hair. One of the most common Emo hair styles is to dye the hair jet black and styling it with long bangs, which is easy to do as any hair colour can easily be made black. Other popular colors include blue, red, and purple. In fact, the more unnatural and crazy the color is, the more you'll stand out. However, don't feel that you need to dye your hair. Alot of people are sticking with their natural color and just adding highlights to it. To create spikes or the shaggy look its necessary to use alot of products to get it to look how you want it to. One of the best things to use is a sculpting gel that gives a long lasting hold for the best performance. Gel is a good idea for spiking hair but often works best on shorter hair and it can be hard to find a gel that's strong enough to hold the style for long. Mixing gel and hair spray is a good method to maintain spikes, but you may have to experiment with different brands until you find ones that work well with your hair. This method is a good way to create the spiky or shaggy look for your hair.
Although its do-able to style your hair yourself, it can be very tricky, especially with some of the more detailed styles. Having it done professionally is very often the best way and you can always maintain it yourself to keep its look. A good idea for having it done professionally is to just find a picture of the style you want, or close to it, and just take it to your stylist and explain your needs. Remember to go somewhere good though as these styles can be quite tricky to create. Share you picsHave a good picture on this? Share it!
