Dark Gothic poetry such as that featured below is so different from any other type of poetry featured on this site. It reaches deeper into the soul and touches emotions impossible to reach with other words. But i suppose you already know this which is why your here right?

Shadows of the night

In the shadows of the night, fear comes creeping up to me, like a silent whisper, it crawls up my spine,making the hairs in my neck to rise.

Shall i go? Shall i listen? Must i obey? Or shall i keep hiding away in the darkness?

I feel my legs go numb.....as i walk slowly to my window,i feel the wooden floor crack under my feet....

as i come closer to the window, i feel a cool breeze flow through me,like the fear i thought i knew...shall i obey? Or shall i stay?

Black Hole

I couldn't breathAll i could feel was painAll i could see was the pitch blackSorrow that surrounded me.

I close my eyesI begin to fallThe strong agony I feel as the pain Tears me apart slowly.

My surroundings worsenMy insides are now deadBut I remain alive...Falling in this endless black hole

Eternal Embrace

The woman stands by the cliff's edgeAnd stares out to sea,Tears fall from her eyes.

One year ago her true love perished in the seaThere was a storm and the boat was lostTwenty sailors lost their lives.

She dreams of EduardoAnd hear him screaming for helpHe is no longer at seaBut in purgatory between Heaven and Hell.

He doesn't understand why he is thereHe is suffering for both of themHe will return to Heaven when his love rejoins himShe thinks of suicide but knows that would be wrongShe just wants to embrace her love againHer life will go on.

But her mind will always be thinking of EduardoShe stands on the cliffsAnd is bewildered by the power of the seaAnd by the hand of God.

She only has one desireTo sail away into another worldTo float above the cloudsAnd join Eduardo once again in an eternal embrace

Mournful Solitude

I wait here for you to returnBut you are in a far countryLiving your life and dreams with someone new.

I remain here in my solitudePlaying wistful music to help me through the daysSoftly plucked chords sooth my trouble brow.

I have grown a bear since we last metA long white beard like Old MethuselahHave I become a wise old wizard?Or sad and lonely old man.

I think the decay set in long agoI shall find myself a small dark holeIn which I can huddle upAnd block out the world.

I need my own piece of landIn which to live out my daysLost in a world of mournful solitude
